This is a portrait of the artist's daughter, Alyssa, at her favorite coffee shop in her college town. The Cup was a treasured oasis for her. She came here several times to "get away from it all," so much so that the staff knew her name and what she was going to order. The student artwork that graced the walls were an inspiration to her creative soul. She loved the back table by the stained glass window where she could sip her chai, do her homework, and write her novels and poetry.
Perhaps a more apt name would be Falling in Love With The Cup.
